What if a dream you thought was lost could come true nearly 50 years later?

In this week’s episode of Latter-Day Lights, Scott and Darla sit down with mother-daughter duo Susan Jensen and Keri Patterson, who share the heartwarming story of how a forgotten country music record from 1978 found new life decades later.

After recording her first single in Nashville, Susan dreamed of pursuing a career in music, but financial challenges and family responsibilities led her down a different path. Nearly five decades later, her daughter Keri took it upon herself to track down the original producer and surprise her mother with the opportunity to re-record her songs: This time, as a duet.

Through their remarkable journey, Susan and Keri reflect on the blessings of family, the power of music to bring generations together, and the importance of trusting in Heavenly Father’s timing. Their story serves as a beautiful reminder that even when our dreams seem out of reach, God knows the desires of our hearts, and that sometimes, His plans unfold in ways more meaningful than we could have ever imagined.
